Day 1 First, we are grateful to the Nilam and family, Laksmi’s cousin, who has given a place to stay awhile before heading off to the Mount Rinjani national park, and also Aditya who willingly deliver and show us the way. There are two gates to reach mount Rinjani, Sembalun Gate and Senaru Gate. We chose Sembalun, because according to the information, Sembalun has not-really-hard-way to trek :D We also rent a porter, for carrying a lot of heavy things >:). Thanks to Mr. Arifin, because beside as a porter, he also as a guide to us, well, no one of us have trekked this mount before. Porter rent 200,000IDR per day. We have to made a registration too. In Simbalun gate, there is an office, and we made to pay some tickets, each person 20,000IDR for many tickets, I forgot what tickets but one of them is entrance ticket. And we have to tell them what we are packing, it’s regulation, to make sure we aren’t littering, because every single litter should be kept until down from the mountain.

We deliver to start point. We don’t use common start point, we chose the alternative, Mr Arifin said that this start point is shortcut, well because we set off starting at 3 PM, so as not to benighted, then we chose this path. The route is so green, it’s an area of savanna and not really steep. We passed several post, Post 1 Post 2 and Post 3. In each post, of course we were resting awhile. The distance between post is about maybe 20km. In Post 3 the day is already late, we decided to make a camp here.

Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Back To Bali
